After graduating from VMI I accepted a reserve commision with the U.S. Army. I was branched infantry and had the pleasure of going through IOBC with Scott Spellmeyer, we were in the same platoon and ended up being hooch-mates. Upon my completion of IOBC I became an agent with the United States Secret Service. I spent 7 1/2 years assigned to the Miami Field Office of the Secret Service. While their I spent three years traveling through Central and South America conducting international investigations for the Secret Service. During my last two years in Miami I was detached to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force in Miami and was assigned to a DEA group that conducted high level money laundering investigations. Federal Law Enforcement has kept me pretty busy.
I am presently assigned to the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) Counter Assault Team of the Secret Service here in Washington D.C. in charge of protecting the President and his immediate family. We travel with the President wherever he goes and are in charge of countering any type of terrorist attack on the President.
