Brother Rats:

Sorry to start with some sad news, but as many of you heard, we lost BR Rob Forgie just before Christmas. I probably received a dozen e-mails from guys relaying their memories of Rob; he was one of those guys that you just don't forget. Rob was living in Montvale, Virginia, and is survived by his wife, two daughters, one sone and a large extended family. Several of our classmates asked about sending flowers, so I sent a red, white and yellow "funeral spray" display to the memorial service in the name of our class. Steve Fitton attended the service and let me know that the flower display was a great touch.

In happier news, Jim Hynes...

Beau Quattrone's news

Beau Quattrone's News

I am sorry to have missed the 20th reunion. I have changed professions since my last posting. I am now a certified middle school science teacher in the state of Pennsylvania. I teach at Madonna Catholic in Monongahela, PA. This is the same school I attended from first to sixth grades, talk about strange. My kids also attend school here and I have taught my oldest daughter, Anna and my son, Zac. I will have my youngest daughter, Elizabeth for the 2010-2011 school year. The best part of the teaching profession is that I get June and July off. The kids here are great, instead of calling me Mr. Quattrone or Mr. Q, they call me "DAD." I have known them since they were little and they are friends with my kids.

Since I have the summers off from teaching, which is great, I needed to have something to occupy my time. So I began to study and became an official high school baseball and softball umpire. It is great! Of course I officiate football games also, so I am busy all year around. Sorry I missed the reunion in April, but my kids had soccer, softball and baseball that weekend. My wife Jennifer and I went in different directions, those of you with children understand.

Maybe the next reunion I will be able to make it down there, but if anyone is in the Pittsburgh area, give me a call.
